Taking a Moment

Today is the funeral of a very dear friend. We will miss her so much and wish she was still here to share our giggles. Even though we knew it was coming, it's still hard to believe. So today I will use someone else's words which I feel are more fitting than my own.

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there.
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there.
I did not die.

  1. I am so sorry to hear sad news.
    This is Japanese version of this song.
    Hope she can see you where ever she would be.
